Summertime Jewelry Care Tips
Summertime means pool time! One tip to keep in mind as you're enjoying the fun: it's best not to wear your gold (white or yellow) jewelry in chlorinated pools and hot tubs. Exposure to chlorinated water can erode the alloy metal in gold, causing the piece to weaken over time. Swimming in the ocean or lake? No worries, your gold jewelry will be fine -- just be sure your rings fit properly and your earring backs are tight. Stop by the store any time for free jewelry cleaning and inspection, we'll remove any sunscreen and beach sand to keep your jewelry sparkling!
